UNCC Ai4Health Website

Project Lead

The AI4Health website introduces a project aimed at leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance healthcare solutions. It features detailed profiles of the team members involved, highlighting their roles and expertise.

The website is built using modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and is hosted on Railway, indicating a deployment setup suitable for scalable web applications.

Weather App

Developer

Set up Xcode project to get the user's current location using CoreLocation. This involves configuring the necessary permissions and handling the location data, which is crucial for fetching relevant weather information based on the user's coordinates.

Integrating the OpenWeather API to fetch weather data. Constructed API requests using the coordinates obtained from CoreLocation. The OpenWeather API provides comprehensive weather details, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and weather conditions.

SwiftUI: For building the user interface with a declarative syntax.

CoreLocation: To access the user's current location.

OpenWeather API: To retrieve weather data based on location coordinates.

Facial recognition technology exhibits bias, particularly in accurately identifying African American individuals, leading to higher rates of false positives and negatives. This issue, rooted in non-diverse training datasets, raises concerns about fairness and discrimination, undermining trust in its universality and effectiveness.

 

Our the model is initially trained on a broad dataset, and then, our dataset is introduced during the fine-tuning process. This step enables the model to learn and adapt to the unique features and characteristics of African American faces.

Wav2Lip iOS Deployment

Lead Developed

This project leverages the Wav2Lip AI model to create a comprehensive tool for lip-syncing video content. Wav2Lip is an advanced AI model designed to generate realistic lip movements synchronized with given audio. The model has been converted to CoreML using ONNX for integration into iOS applications, ensuring efficient performance on Apple devices. The project is public and aims to provide an end-to-end solution for video processing, audio extraction, and lip-syncing.
